To be certified as Guinness World Records as the smallest person in the world, he must be at least 18 years old.
So, Barawing was certified by Guinness on June 12, 2011, when he celebrated his 18th birthday.

Barawing has stopped growing because of his illness, and his parents rushed to the doctor to cure his illness.
However, they couldn’t afford the cost to get treatment.
